Anne and Jimmy hold their Presidents’s Prize Day.

88 members took part in last Sunday week mens competition to honour Club President Jimmy Maher. The competition was an 18 hole Singles Stableford and was played in perfect golfing conditions. The winner was Michael Waugh playing off 17 with a fabulous score of 46 Pts. In 2^nd place Eddie Walsh (13) 40 Pts and Keith Kavanagh (11) was 3^rd on 40 Pts. Best Gross went to Brendan Duffin (9) 37 Pts. F9 Benny McGuire. B9 Robbie Power. Past President Michael Hoyne (20) 34 Pts. Best Senior Tommy Malone (12) 40 Pts.

At the presentation cermony which took place in the clubhouse afterwards Jimmy thanked all who took part and complimented the course staff for having the course in such splendid condition. He also thanked the office staff and club committee members for all their help in organizing the event.

There was also a big turn out for Lady President Anne Foskins prize which also took place on Sunday Aug 5th. The 18 hole single stableford was played in glorious sunshine. On Sunday night after food and refreshments the presentation of prizes took place. 1. Aisling Costello. 2. Josie O Gorman. 3. Anne Murphy. Best Gross Carmel Fennelly. F9 Chloe O Grady. Stage set Presidents Prize

Popular Club President Jimmy Maher holds his Presidents Prize day on this coming Sunday August 5^th. The competition will be an 18 Hole singles Stableford. Tee times available from 7.30 to 12.00. To register call the clubhouse on 056-7768122. There is still lots of availability between 10.30 and 12.00. Registration will close at 6pm sharp this Thursday. A draw for tee times will take place at 5pm on Friday. Members should call the golf shop on Saturday to obtain their exact tee-time.

Lady’s Presidents Prize

Lady President Anne Foskin, will host her Presidents Prize this coming Sunday. The competition will commence at 12.30pm. All lady members are asked to put their names on the timesheet as soon as possible. A dinner and presentation of prizes will be hosted on Sunday evening in the clubhouse.

T. J. is Captains Prize Winner.

T J Coughlan(14) won Seamus O Briens Captains Prize last Sunday in very windy and blustery conditions. On the previous Sunday 110 members took part in the qualifier where conditions were near perfect and the cut off was nett 74. After scoring a 67 in the qualifier T J played great golf in such windy conditions and scored a fabulous 69 last Sunday giving him a nett total of 136. In second place with a nett 73 in the play off was young mark Phelan (21) 64 & 73 (137). Third place Paul Whelan (5) 67 & 71 (138). Fourth was last years winner Gary Ryan(10) 70 & 69 (139). Fifth T J Dowling (16) 72 & 68 (140). 6^th Paul Walsh (19) total nett 140. 7^th Frank Kavanagh (15) 140. 8^th Vincent McCarthy (17) total nett 144. Front 9 Ml. Doyle. Back 9 Barry O Connell. Past Captain John Byrne (13) 74 & 68 (142). Best Senior John Coleman (19) 69 & 71 (140). At the presentation of prizes captain Seamus O Brien thanked all who took part over the two days.
